On Wednesday 15^th November, Year 5 pupils went to Techniquest for their school trip. The main part of the trip was to the planetarium, where the children went on a voyage through space and looked at different planets in more detail. We also looked at the different galaxies there are and realised how big space actually is.

After this, the children were able to explore the rest of the museum. Techniquest is a science museum and we found lots of links with our current learning of forces. The children got to have a go at everything, and it was hard work trying to get them to move on to different things!

We also visited the shop, and as exciting as this was for some children, it was also a great chance for them to use their maths skills in real life situations!
