Tiddlypeeps Pre-School, Wickwar
Tiddlypeeps aim is to enable children to develop confidence and independence through exploration and discovery, by providing a supportive and enriching environment based on the interests of children.
Our approach focuses on the capacity of children to absorb information when given the freedom and independence to learn at their own pace. We feel that children learn best by doing and that happy self-motivated learners form positive images of themselves as confident successful people. Therefore, our aim is to create an inclusive environment where all children feel safe, happy and confident to explore, redefine their space, to use materials to create a personal sense of order, patterns and structure. Resources are set up to encourage the children to be independent and self-select what they would like to use, they are given the time and space to follow their interests and extend their ideas.
Tiddlypeeps pre-school is normally next to Alexander Hosea Primary, (currently operating from Tiddlypeeps Forest School in Tortworth) we work closely with the school and staff to aid and support a seamless transition into school.
