Term 1 Sporting Success
What a fantastic start to the sporting year it has been!
Our pupils have already enjoyed a wide range of opportunities to represent the school and demonstrate our values both on and off the field.
The football season has got off to a flying start for our Year 5 and 6 boys. They have already taken part in a tournament at KLB, played a home fixture against Manorbrook in the South Gloucestershire Cup and are travelling to Almondsbury today to compete in the Small Schools Cup tournament.
A group of Year 6 pupils also represented the school at a dodgeball tournament in Bradley Stoke, showing excellent teamwork, resilience and determination throughout the event.
Cross Country season is well underway too. Several Key Stage 2 children took on the challenge of the KLB Cross Country event on Sunday, while others competed in the Yate Cross Country event the day before. We are incredibly proud of all the children who gave up their weekends to take part, demonstrating great enthusiasm, perseverance and a positive attitude.
It has been wonderful to see so many pupils getting involved in competitive sport and representing the school so positively. Thank you to our families for their continued support with transport, encouragement and cheering from the sidelines.
We are already looking forward to another exciting term of sport, with tag rugby, football, dodgeball and cross-country events all on the horizon.
A huge well done to every child who has represented the school this term. We can't wait to see what sporting successes Term 2 will bring! 🏆⚽🏃♀️🏃♂️🤾♂️🎽
