Reception year

In South Gloucestershire, children start school in the September before their fifth birthday.

If your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 they can start primary school in September 2024.

The closing date for Reception year applications is 15 January 2024.

Offers of a school place will be made to parents/carers on 16 April 2024.

It is important that you submit your application on time.  Applications received after the closing date of the 15 January 2024 will only be looked at after the national offer day, which is the 16 April 2024.

In-year admissions

If you wish to apply for a place other than at the start of the Reception year, please use the application form below and return to the Admissions Department at South Gloucestershire Council. Alternatively an in-year admission application form is available from the School. This also has to be returned to the Admissions Department at South Gloucestershire Council.
